The Dog Massage Course
Back Legs + Hips
Step 1
Begin with long strokes down the length of one leg from the hip region to the paw making sure to incorporate the entire circumference of the leg.
Step 2
Form a diamond shape with your hands and place around hip. Perform slow circular motions maintaining the diamond shape. Start the circular motions small and gently increase the circle size. Please note that the hip joint does not have as greater mobility as the shoulder joint and therefore the circular motions performed should not be as large.
Step 3
Slowly bend and stretch knee joint three times.
Step 4
Finish leg by performing long strokes as in Step 1.
Step 5
You’ve finished! Now try and get your dog to give you a massage…. and if that doesn’t work, contact Nat + Darcy to see a professional.
